1940's

This week I wanted to blog about something completely different than fashion and facts! I wanted to venture into the top films of the 40s decade! I have been curious about the film industry in the past decades, so i'm finally deciding to see what movies the 40's brought!! These are rated the top 10 best films of the 1940's.

  1. Without getting into the discussion that Citizen Kane is obviously a better movie than Casablanca, I wanted to touch on 1940s cinema. I have taken a few film classes here and there, and I always struggle to make it through most films that were released before the 1970s (I know I am unappreciative). Looking through the catalog of American Cinema 'classics' I can appreciate what these films added to the medium, but I often don't find them interesting (I think it has something to do with the pacing). However, one thing that I have always loved was is Film Noir style. The stylization of Film Noir is something that you just don't see done anymore and it saddens me.
